Lithuanian battery-electric bus supplier Dinobus is targeting airports and ground handling providers in the UK with its Dinorex and Dinoveloci (pictured) airside vehicles, which are built by King Long.
Both are three-door, high-capacity 14m examples on two axles that can be produced in left- and right-hand drive format. CATL batteries of 140kWh, 210kWh or 280kWh in capacity are fitted to both models, which are 3.1m wide.
The Dinoveloci at 3.1m is slightly lower than the Dinorex at 3.4m, but both are to monocoque construction. Both are fully low floor.
The supplier says that the taller model “promotes great air circulation, making it ideal for extreme climates where an efficient cooling system is necessary.” Each vehicle has 32kW of saloon cooling and 28kW of heating capacity, with a separate unit for the driver.
Eight passenger seats are fitted to the two model, and they can carry a claimed maximum of 110 passengers. Dinobus is part of Avia Solutions Group, which has extensive interests in the aviation sector.
Marketing Strategist Paulina Gustov notes that the Vilnius-based supplier “is growing substantially” and has deployed battery-electric airside buses to locations in countries including Germany and Italy.
She adds that delivery times for the two models is rapid and that parts warehouses are in Lithuania and Poland to minimise downtime. What the supplier terms “truly strong client support” is provided.
“To back up [the vehicles], up to 10 years of warranty is given,” continues Ms Gustov. Dinobus says both the Dinorex and the Dinoveloci already meet all standards and requirements for UK airports and airside bus operation.
Also part of the Dinobus range are the 9.2m Dinotera and 12m Dinocera standard models. Those, too, are built by King Long and will suit both airside and landside usage, Dinobus notes; they could be built to UK requirements if customer demands dictate, Ms Gustov confirms.
