ShuttleID, the e-ticketing platform for home-to-school transport, has landed its first contract after successfully completing a trial with West Yorkshire operator Tetley’s Coaches.

The trial was marked a success after managing to eliminate ticket fraud one week following installation, paving the way to being utilised on eight services across two schools when tickets go on sale in July.

Tetley’s Coaches Managing Director Ian Tetley says: “The team at ShuttleID has listened to our concerns and developed a cost-effective product which should appeal to operators of school services.”

The decision to design the platform with cloud technology and cheaper consumer hardware allows operators to be up and running in less than 24 hours, says ShuttleID Director Chris Bell.

ShuttleID is now seeking to partner with further coach operators running school services before tickets go on sale for the 2019/20 academic year.
