The 12 Orions are Euro 6 models and will thus satisfy the Edinburgh LEZ

Edinburgh City Council (ECC) has taken delivery of 12 Fiat Ducatos with low-floor Orion bodywork. They have been supplied by Mellor (01706 860610) and are part of ECC’s plans to satisfy the city’s forthcoming Low Emission Zone.

The Euro 6-compliant Orions continue a long relationship between the Council and Mellor and they have 360-degree cameras for safety and driver awareness.

Says Fleet Manager Phil Traynor: “Safety is of paramount importance.

“The enhanced features offered by the Orion, coupled with optional extras such as cyclist protection systems and hard disc recorders, will help to ensure the wellbeing of those who share the road with our vehicles.”

Mellor adds that the Orion offers “class-leading” fuel efficiency of up to 22mpg.
