Minicoach converter is supporting Spanish manufacturer of Next and Wing midicoaches in Ireland

EVM and Indcar’s partnership is applicable solely to the Irish market only

EVM continues to support Spanish midicoach manufacturer Indcar in the Irish market with sales of the Iveco Daily-based Wing and the Next range, which is built on the Mercedes-Benz Atego 12,000kg GVW chassis.

“The Wing in particular has attracted a lot of interest. Although new to right-hand drive, it is a tried and tested product that comes with the right equipment. It is also competitively priced and built to a high standard,” says EVM Director Danny McGee.

EVM displayed both a Next and a Wing at the Dublin show. The former was sold within hours of opening time, to Travel Ireland Coaches.

“EVM is a sales partner of ours in the Irish market. We are going directly to buyers, but we need the support of an established party. Our products complement EVM’s; we were successful in Ireland some years ago,” adds Indcar CEO Gael Queralt.

Pre-delivery inspection of Indcar products for Irish buyers is undertaken at EVM’s Kilbeggan premises. Indcar is currently examining whether the DAF LF chassis may form a suitable base for the Next in right-hand drive form, although nothing is yet decided.

EVM also reports continuing strong interest in its own Mercedes-Benz Sprinter-based minicoaches and minibuses, and in particular the M1 eight-seat Sprinter that can be driven on a Category B licence and with no requirement for a tachograph.

In particular, the low-floor Cityline and Community ranges are doing well. The first Citylines for Oxford Bus Company’s PickMeUp demand-responsive service were delivered on Monday 19 November.
