Mendlesham-based Galloway Coach Travel has won National Express’s award for engineering standards for the second year running.

Engineering staff at Galloway were presented with a real gold spanner – an award for National Express’s partner operators who achieve exceptional engineering standards – by the company’s Head of Contracts, Alastair Coxon.

The award is a recognition of the high standards of fleet maintenance achieved over the past 12 months by the operator’s Workshop Manager, Gary Walkden, and his team.

Mr Coxon says: “There are only 26 engineering teams across the National Express network who hold the gold standard, so this is not an easy award to win. The team at Galloway should be incredibly proud of their hard work over the past year.”

Galloway has been managing National Express routes for over 25 years.
