A new cost-effective, front entrance minibus replacement for the discontinued LDV Convoy vehicle has been formally launched by GM Coachwork.

Entrance to Ford Transit Falcon from GM Coachwork

The Ford Transit Falcon from the Devon-based specialist vehicle converting firm is designed for PSV operators.

It is a conversion of the Ford Transit LWB and features 16 OEM passenger seats with padded head restraints and armrests, and a three-step front entrance with a high grip, durable floor and high visibility handrails. A powered entrance door is also available as an optional extra.

The Falcon is offered in a variety of options, with both new and used vehicles available. Used vehicles are priced from £25,995, and GM Coachwork says it is the only manufacturer to offer a conversion-only service with prices from £4,995.

Speaking about the new product, David Vooght, GM Coachwork’s CEO, says: “We see scope for considerable numbers, because a front entrance is often key to the contract market.”
