Bedfordshire operator Grant Palmer has released its 2025 Christmas video, which it says takes inspiration from the storytelling of John Lewis-style adverts to promote bus travel.
The film captures the spirit of bringing families together, supporting local communities, and sharing festive magic throughout the county.
Grant Palmer adds how the video sees the family business “step confidently into the world of big-name department stores and supermarkets, delivering a locally rooted, emotionally uplifting campaign with a Bedfordshire twist.”
It has been produced in collaboration with Central Bedfordshire Council and is funded through the local authority’s Bus Service Improvement Plan. The work continues a shared commitment to making sustainable, reliable public transport accessible throughout the region, even at the busiest time of year.
The 2025 story follows a series of everyday residents whose Christmas wishes are granted through small acts of kindness, timely bus journeys, and a little help from what Grant Palmer adds is “a very special transformation delivered by the main man himself.”
From reuniting families to helping someone to pick up the perfect present, to making sure fans get to a game at Real Bedford FC, the advert showcases how public transport helps to keep the community connected at Christmas.
Speaking about the video, Grant Palmer Commercial Manager Thomas Manship says: “It is great to work with our partners at Central Bedfordshire Council to encourage people to travel by bus this festive period.
“Whether it is a bus to the match at Real Bedford, picking up a present, or simply being together at Christmas, Grant Palmer is proud to be Bedfordshire’s family-owned bus company.”
The two parties have collaborated on visual content to promote bus travel before. Twelve months ago they delivered a video to promote bus travel before Christmas 2024, while earlier that year they did similar to advocate the Luton to Dunstable guided busway.
