The Confederation of Passenger Transport (CPT) has appointed Leanne Clowting as its new Membership Director.
Leanne joins CPT ahead of the anticipated retirement of Peter Gomersall. She will join CPT on 14 June for a transition period before Peter leaves at the end of July.
As Membership Director, Leanne takes responsibility for CPT’s relationships with members, commercial partners and prospective members. She brings experience in marketing, business development and member relations with her most recent position being Executive Director for Membership and Marketing Services at Construction Industry Research and Information Association, a hub for research and knowledge development.
“I’m delighted to be joining CPT at such a crucial time, with the sector central to reaching net zero and delivering economic growth across the UK,” she says. “Getting to know our members will be an early priority and I’m keen to be a part of the CPT team continuing to play a central role in tackling the issues facing the industry and its customers.”
Comments CPT Chief Executive Graham Vidler: “I’m really looking forward to working with Leanne. She will bring a wealth of experience to her role together with an eagerness to get out and meet our members and understand how best we can continue to support and represent them.
“I’d also like to pay tribute to Peter Gomersall’s years of service to CPT as he moves towards a well-earned retirement at the end of July. It’s been a privilege to work alongside him for the past three years.”
