Coach & Bus UK 2019, the largest domestic trade show of its kind dedicated to the coach, bus and mini-vehicle sector, will return to the NEC Birmingham on 2-3 October.

Following the success of 2017, which was dubbed “a tremendous showcase” by Giles Fearnley, First UK Bus MD, and a “phenomenal success” by Steve O’Neill, Director of Irizar UK, space for stands is already limited with just 15% remaining and seven months until the doors open.

What to expect

Confirmed exhibitors already represent the breadth of the sector and will showcase everything needed to successfully run a passenger transport operation.

It will showcase over 70 of the latest vehicles, including low- and zero-emission, hybrid, gas and electric models from: Alexander Dennis, Arriva Bus and Coach, BASE, Beulas, Noone Turas, Dawsonrentals bus and coach, EVM, Harris Auto, Ilesbus, Indcar, Irizar UK, Mellor Coachcraft, Moseley (PCV), Pelican/Yutong, Treka Bus, UNVI, VDL and Volvo Bus UK.

From workshop equipment, parts and accessories, engineering services and alternative power solutions, to the latest in technology, accessibility, ticketing, training and development, and more –with close to 200 exhibitors and 6,000 attendees, Coach & Bus UK will be the definitive meeting place for UK operators.

‘Important event’

Supported by the Confederation of Passenger Transport (CPT), Interim CPT CEO Peter Gomersall says: “Coach and Bus UK continues to be one of the key business events in the bus and coach industry calendar. It offers an ideal opportunity for visitors to experience first-hand the very latest in vehicle, product, technological and service developments from leading suppliers and innovators.”

A full programme of informative and inspirational seminars will give visitors valuable insight into the ever-evolving coach and bus industry. Show highlights from 2017 included standing room only seminars hosted by big-name representatives from the Go-Ahead Group, Stagecoach, First Bus, Greys of Ely, Travel de Courcey, Lucketts Travel, CPT, Transport Focus, DVSA and LowCVP.

Opportunity

Held every two years at the NEC, alternating with its sister show Euro Bus Expo, Coach & Bus UK is centrally located and easily accessible by any means of transportation. Discounts are available for rail fares, car parking and accommodation. With an extensive choice of restaurants, bars and entertainment options onsite, visitors will have ample opportunities to network.

Event Director Helen Conway says: “Coach & Bus UK is off to a strong start and we’re expecting it to be a sell-out before the autumn. We’ve received tremendous support from across the industry and it’s clear that the show is seen as a key event where UK operators do business. We remain committed to delivering a quality show which our industry can continue to be proud of.”
