Family owned and run McGinley Coach Travel of Letterkenny, has taken delivery of a new Volvo B11R Euro 6 as the latest addition to its 20 vehicle fleet.

James McGinley, Owner and Director of McGinley Coach Travel, says: “We’ve been very impressed with the quality of the Volvo product over the years, in particular the passenger safety features and fuel efficiency we have experienced, so had no hesitation with this repeat purchase.”

The 53-seater, Jonckheere-bodied coach will be used on McGinley’s tour programme as well as for express coach services. It has a sunken on-board toilet.

James McGinley, added: “Customers want a high standard specification from their operator, so it was important to purchase a vehicle that would continue to meet the expectations of our passengers.

“As a company, we are long-standing Volvo fans and in addition to the fuel savings, we love the driveability, reliability and back-up service via Irish Commercials in Dublin and Dennison Commercials in Ballyclare, which is also important to us from a business point of view.

“The whole specification and purchasing process has been very smooth from start to finish and our trusted Volvo Coach Sales Manager, Dave Porter, worked closely with us to provide help and guidance where necessary.”

The vehicle comes with Volvo Driver Support System (DSS) as standard and includes AEBS (forward collision warning and advanced emergency braking systems), LKS (lane keeping support) and ACC (adaptive cruise control).

Dave Porter said: “We’re pleased to once again be doing business with McGinley’s who are a long standing customer. Our B11R chassis is widely recognised for its unrivalled quality and technical specification for operators as well as giving excellent service and comfort to passengers.”

John MGinley Coach Travel operates a fleet of modern coaches on a wide variety of transport operations from express coach services to European tours.
