Moorsbus, the bus service to and through the North York Moors, is to start its operation next week running run from 20 May to 30 September.
It will link many villages, towns and cities with the National Park area, and unlike most bus routes, these have been decided and planned by the Moorsbus Community Interest Company working with its volunteers and passengers.
Bill Breakell, one of the Directors of Moorsbus says: “We’re really delighted with the support we’ve had from so many people who have helped get the service on the road again. This is a huge voluntary effort, from raising the funds required, through to the design of the website and the timetables.”
The low-floor, low-emission buses are contracted from local operators.
