The new Chief Executive Officer of National Express, Alex Jensen, has been announced as a speaker at the 2024 Confederation of Passenger Transport (CPT) Conference at Park Plaza London Riverbank on 18 January.
The former BP Chief Marketing Officer, who is one of the first speakers to be confirmed on the programme, will talk on the subject of “Embracing change – putting customers at the heart of innovation”.
The day-long conference will take place ahead of CPT’s Gala 50th Anniversary Dinner at the same venue that evening.
In a discussion chaired by Blackpool Travel Managing Director Jane Cole, Ms Jensen will “reflect on her experience of driving innovation across different sectors, and share her insights on what the bus and coach industry can learn to ensure we continue to evolve”.
To begin the day, First Bus Partnerships Director Catherine De Marco will chair a discussion on what the general election, expected next autumn, will mean for public transport.
With Labour most likely to form the next Government, the current opposition party’s possible bus policies will be under scrutiny in a 30-minute segment of the programme.
Transport Investment Ltd Director David Leeder will speak on the subject of where the British economy is next headed.
“Changing perceptions of public transport” will be considered by a panel of speakers and “Tackling the big challenges – working in partnership” is another topic on the schedule.
The final session of the day will see CPT outline some of the policies it will be seeking from the Government after the next election.
