National Express is to introduce a new route between Portsmouth and Gatwick and increase daily connections to other south coast destinations.
From 4 July, the Portsmouth-Gatwick service will operate six times per day, with the journey taking one hour 35 minutes.
Also from that date, the London-Poole connection will increase from 15 to 20 journeys per day, with eight faster services.
London-Bournemouth will be enhanced from 16 to 22 journeys per day, with 10 express services.
Services between the capital and Southampton will run 14 times per day – up from 12 – with a minimum journey time of two hours 35 minutes.
Connections to Heathrow from the south coast will also be boosted with more services per day from Poole, Bournemouth and Southampton.
National Express says bookings for Bournemouth-Heathrow and for Southampton-Heathrow are both up by around 30% for July compared to July 2024.
Ed Rickard, Network Director for National Express, says: “We are continuing to invest in our coach network and look forward to introducing our faster, more frequent services connecting customers between London and the South Coast this summer.
“As the leading scheduled coach operator, we’ve got some of the fastest coach services from London and fares from £5.20 one-way, offering more affordable, convenient and reliable transport choices than any other operator.”
