Work on Roberts Travel Group’s upgraded passenger lounge at its headquarters in Leicestershire is progressing well, the operator says.
The project, which began in February, involves upgrading a lounge which has served passengers for 16 years.
Among recent developments on the site is the installation of “sleek, modern windows” throughout the building, which Roberts Travel Group says will offer customers a brighter, more open feel.
Cedar-style cladding has been added to provide a “beautiful contrast to the modern design elements”.
Next to come will be the interior development, including customer amenities.
The Group says the upgrade forms part of its “ongoing mission to enhance the departure experience for its customers”.
“As each new feature is completed, excitement continues to grow across the Roberts team,” reads a statement from the operator. “Watching the building evolve from design plans to a striking physical structure has been a proud moment for all involved.”
It adds: “This exciting expansion reflects Roberts’ long-standing commitment to excellence in travel and the team looks forward to welcoming passengers into the new space very soon.”
Roberts Travel Group says the extension is being carried out in response to customer feedback and an increase in traveller numbers.
It says passenger disruption is being kept to a minimum while the work is under way.
