West Midlands-based executive travel firm LandFlight has launched a major recruitment drive after signing a five-year contract to operate several major bus routes in and around Solihull.

It is looking to recruit 20 new drivers to service a range of routes it will operate on behalf of Transport for West Midlands (TfWM) from 24 February.

LandFlight will be using eight new Euro 6 Alexander Dennis Enviro200 MMC buses to service the routes.

The new buses meet the emission standards and also comply with the Solihull Advanced Quality Partnership Scheme (AQPS), a series of stringent rules which will govern bus usage in the town that come into force in January 2020.

LandFlight Director Danny Matthews says: “This is a great start to the new year for us. We’re delighted our record of delivering quality services has been recognised by TfWM in what was a tough tender process.”
