North Northamptonshire Council has opted for Omnibus to boost efficiency and replace some of its manual systems.

The cloud-based solution will include the OmniTIMES, OmniMAP, OmniFLAG and TransXChange tools.

The system is designed to improve data security, flexibility and collaboration and cut infrastructure costs.

Elise Northfield, Public Transport Officer at North Northamptonshire Council, says: “We are excited to partner with Omnibus. We wanted a partner with an established track record of delivering innovative solutions to local authorities, and one with the resources to meet all our expectations.

“With all the solutions accessed via the cloud, our teams can easily collaborate on tasks and share accurate data downstream, all of which will save valuable time and cost.”

OmniTIMES allows for importing, designing, editing and storing timetables centrally. OmniMAP facilitates the plotting of routes and bus stops with distance calculations incorporated.

OmniFLAG timetables, publicity and journey planning provides a means of managing National Public Transport Access Node data. TransXChange allows transport authorities to exchange timetable and scheduling data with other systems.

Peter Crichton, founder of Omnibus, says: “We are pleased to partner with North Northamptonshire Council and provide a proven cloud-based solution that will deliver immense value and support a wide range of improvements to work processes and reduce costs.”
