Nottingham City Transport (NCT) has recognised two of its top bus drivers by naming two of their brand-new biogas double-deckers in their honour.
The names of UK Bus Awards Top National Bus Driver 2018, Aaron Johnson, and NCT’s 2018 Driver of the Year, Jatinder Kumar, are now on the front of buses on the routes they drive, with photographs of the drivers on the back.
Aaron’s bus is on his Purple 89 route, which is currently being upgraded to operate with the low-emission biogas buses, while a new biogas double-decker Lilac 27 bus boasts Jatinders name on the front.
David Astill, NCT Commercial and Operations Director says: “Our drivers are the public face of NCT when customers board our buses and it’s only right that we celebrate their achievements by proudly naming two of our buses after two of our top drivers.”
