As a key part of its expansion, Sn-ap, the UK’s only on-demand intercity coach service, has appointed former Arriva Area MD, Paul Adcock as Operations Director. In addition to 15 years’ service at Arriva, he held posts at Stagecoach.

It comes as Sn-ap is to expand beyond its Derbyshire/Nottingham-London routes, taking on traditional operators.

Sn-ap founder, Thomas Ableman (pictured, centre): “This investment will help us expand to more cities”

Since its October 2016 launch Sn-ap has carried 25,000 passengers from the East Midlands to individually selected drop-off points in London.

It has now secured a further £2m investment that is fuelling its ambition, and customer demands, to connect more UK cities.

Sn-ap founder, Thomas Ableman says: “This round of investment will help us expand to more cities and continue to make intercity travel as easy and affordable. Paul will be instrumental in ensuring the success of Sn-ap’s roll out across the UK.

“He’s the ideal person to lead on operations as we enter a major growth phase, working to create more routes and bring Sn-ap to new people.

Trips go direct, point-to-point, without detours or drop-offs on the way and operate on an on-demand basis. Using a simple online platform, customers get a convenient, flexible and reliable travel service at a fraction of the cost of other options.

At the same time, coach operators with spare capacity get access to popular intercity routes for the first time.

Customers are encouraged to rate their experience, including the competence of the driver and the comfort of the coach.

Sn-ap uses customer feedback in its selection of coach operators, which has helped to create a quality, personable travel service and a rapidly increasing loyal customer base.
