Passenger Lift Solutions (PLS) has launched its new product, the EA4 Inboard Lift, for minibuses, with news of a significant order.

Available in three platform options – solid, vertical split, and horizontal fold, the supplier says it offers “enhanced stability, simpler installation, and notable weight savings for all vehicle types across both M1 and M2 categories”.

PLS adds that GM Coachwork has already committed to 40 units for its customer London Hire.

Mike Pitt, Sales Director at PLS, says: “The order for 40 EA4 Inboard Lifts from GM Coachwork for London Hire is a clear signal from the market. It shows that our focus on practical, user-driven design is paying off.

“We’re seeing real demand for solutions that genuinely improve accessible transport. Our UK-based aftersales support and comprehensive warranty also play a key role in building customer confidence in PLS products.”

The lift comes in platform lengths from 1300-1610mm and platform widths from 745-915mm, while it offers a claimed safe working load of 400-500kg.

Adam Beck, Managing Director of PLS, adds: “The EA4 Inboard Lift represents the pinnacle of our design and engineering efforts.

“We’ve listened closely to our customers and, by incorporating their feedback and leveraging our expertise, we’ve refined the EA4 to provide the best inboard passenger lift for a wide range of operational profiles, including taxi, Motability, personal mobility, school minibuses, community transport and more.”

It is available in both rear- and side -door versions, and PLS says the lift’s modular construction aids “quick installation and easy maintenance access, providing reassurance about its user-friendly design”.

PLS is taking the lift out on nationwide demo. Anyone interested in a demonstration, should email sales@passengerliftsolutions.com or call +44 0121 552 0660 (option 3).
