The LDV V80 minibus converted by Excel has an extensive option range

The relationship between LDV supplier Pelican Bus and Coach and Excel Conversions saw an 11-seat minicoach displayed at CBUK that Excel Sales Director Peter Vernon says gives excellent value for money.

Based on a Chinese-made V80 base vehicle, it has 11 Politecnica seats finished in red leather. While it retains a sliding side entrance, the two front passenger seats have been removed to accommodate a luggage pen; a front entrance is also available.

Three seats are in the back row to allow for access to the rear doors in an emergency, but they can be removed if required to permit space for luggage.

Dash air-conditioning is fitted to the demonstrator, and in production minibuses a roof-mounted saloon unit can be added.

The standard specification for a V80 conversion includes 14 passenger seats, although Excel can reduce that to eight or even four if required with a range of luxury fittings.

The 11-seat minicoach as displayed retails for £26,995 and it includes five years’ roadside assistance.
