Eight police officers were injured on Friday (1 December) following a bus fare confrontation in Dalston, east London.

The incident happened after police officers supporting TfL inspectors found a 15-year-old girl travelling without a valid ticket.

The officers sustained facial injuries including cuts and bruises and two were taken to hospital with concussion.

Two teenage girls and an 18-year-old man were arrested over the incident.
