A dash of lime on the on the Jet Black logo will tie in with Newbury and District buses

Reading Buses is rolling out newer buses on its Jet Black route to Newbury.

Seven 16-plate ADL Enviro400 MMCs are being exchanged from Reading’s recently-acquired Newbury and District operation onto the Jet Black service, with a new updated livery in line with Reading Buses’ new look.

A dash of lime on the on the Jet Black logo will tie in with the accent colour of the newly rebranded Newbury and District buses.

Reading Buses Chief Executive Officer Robert Williams says: “This is about ensuring the future of both Jet Black and our Newbury and District operation.

“At eight years old the current Jet Black vehicles are now halfway through their expected life. With Jet Black being a longer, interurban service, it makes sense for it to have some of our latest buses.

“The current Jet Black vehicles are still in excellent condition and will maintain the high quality offer provided by Newbury and District on school services in a more financially sustainable way.”
