Pulham’s Coaches has appointed Richard Johnson (pictured, left) as Operations Manager. He will take up his role with the Bourton-on-the-Water operator on 21 June.
Richard previously held the position of Service Delivery Manager at his family’s business Johnsons Coach and Bus Travel of Henley-in-Arden. More recently he has been working directly for the Commonwealth Games Committee, arranging its ground transport requirements ahead of the 2022 Games.
Pulham’s says that the appointment of Richard Johnson “demonstrates an exciting new phase for the business as it begins its recovery from the pandemic.”
Adds Director Andrew Pulham (pictured, right): “In the true style of a family business, Richard has worked his way up from the bottom and he now brings a wealth of experience in managing coach and bus operations with a positive and enthusiastic vibe to support our existing team in the transport office. We are delighted to welcome him to the business.”
Andrew notes that the past 15 months “have been horrific” for the coach industry, but he adds that despite that, Pulham’s has remained strong and adapted accordingly. “Richard joining the team is an exciting start to the next chapter.”
