Rotala has invested in its new Eccles depot with the installation of new refuelling facilities supplied by Pennine Pump & Tank.

The site was part of a deal in September that saw Rotala spend £1m buying Go Goodwins bus operation, now rebranded as Diamond Bus.

Pennine Pump & Tank maintains several Rotala sites throughout the UK and it suggested that Diamond Bus could make “huge savings” by reusing and relocating equipment from its Redditch depots.

A 25,000l fuel tank was moved from inside the Redditch depot and to Eccles in a carefully-planned operation to avoid traffic disruption. The tank was lifted, loaded and on  its way by 0600hrs and installed at Eccles before lunch, where a new 90l/min Alpha pump was connected.
