A final call for nominations to the 2025 routeone Awards has been made as the deadline of 1700hrs on Friday 11 April approaches. It comes as preparations for the coach and bus industry’s premier celebration of excellence among its operators and its people continue.
The number of nominations made so far is ahead of the like-for-like total at the same point in 2024, with strong interest across all 15 categories where those submissions are accepted. They are complemented by the Special Award, which recognises an individual who has made a longstanding contribution to the sector and is decided solely at the judges’ discretion.
Details of categories and how to nominate can be found on the routeone Awards website. Nominations are welcome from across the supplier landscape, while for people categories, individuals may also self-nominate subject to endorsement from their business proprietor, CEO, or Managing Director.
Only through nomination can an individual or operator be put forward by the industry for recognition. After receipt, that party is invited to formally enter the 2025 competition.
Once nominations close, judging will begin. A seven-strong panel of industry experts will open that task by creating a shortlist before final decisions are made in late summer. That will see finalists in people categories invited to interview.
Meanwhile, preparations for the presentation evening to be held at The Vox at Resorts World Birmingham on Thursday 13 November continue. A return to that venue follows a successful move in 2024, drawing a capacity attendance of over 900 coach and bus industry guests.
Speaking about progress so far, Event Director Helen Conway says: “We are delighted with the number of nominations to the 2025 routeone Awards made already, which once again confirms its position both as the coach and bus industry’s premier recognition scheme and as a must-attend event.
“Judging will begin soon, so if you still have not made your nominations, move quickly.”
Ticket sales for the presentation evening will open in late July. For now, organiser Diversified Communications has established a waiting list for those who wish to purchase and would like first contact when sales open. It can be accessed via the Awards website.
Joining the waiting list is not a commitment to purchase and does not guarantee a ticket, although Diversified notes that parties on it will be the first to be notified of opening.
Interest in Partner and Supporter packages remains strong, with a modest number available as suppliers continue to cement their brand’s placement alongside the routeone Awards. Contact Sales Manager Martin Laverton via email for more information on opportunities.
