Oxford Bus Company’s Park & Ride service has carried more than three million passengers since the Westgate Shopping Centre opened in the city centre a year ago.
That is 50,000 more passenger journeys than the total in the previous 12 months, and follows improvements to the service ahead of the centre’s opening.
“The increase in passenger growth on our Park & Ride services is encouraging after significant investment in the fleet and branding, along with improved timetables, ticketing and staff training,” says Phil Southall, Oxford Bus Company’s Managing Director.
