Nottinghamshire-based Skills Coaches has taken delivery of two high specification vehicles from Alexander Dennis Limited, joining its 80-strong fleet.

One is an 11.5m 85-seat Enviro400 MMC double-decker, with USB ports, high-back Lazzerini seats, three-point seat belts, PA, WiFi, CCTV, and alloy wheels. It will be used for corporate contracts, private hire and school work.

The second vehicle is a 72-seat, 12.8m Volvo B8R/Plaxton Leopard. Also finished to a luxury specification it will work on private hires, day trips and holiday programmes.

The Skills Group, which was established in 1919, has remained a family run business throughout the last century and now operates from a purpose-built, three-acre site in Bulwell, Nottinghamshire, from where it runs a fleet of over   80 vehicles.

Founded in 1919 by Arthur Skill, it remains a family business managed by the founder’s grandsons, Nigel and Simon Skill, who are Managing Director and Finance Director respectively.
