Stagecoach Group has appointed Sarah Blake as its new Chief People Officer.
Reporting to CEO Claire Miles, the new manager will oversee talent acquisition, employee value proposition, employee engagement, learning and development, reward and benefits.
Ms Blake’s arrival means the coach and bus operator has achieved a 50-50 gender split for its senior team.
She previously held the same title at TalkTalk, where she was said to have been instrumental in driving the company’s people strategy.
Ms Miles says: “We are thrilled to welcome Sarah Blake to the Stagecoach team. With her impressive experience in employee performance, we are confident that she will be a valuable asset.”
Stagecoach says the appointment reinforces its “commitment to strengthen its leadership team with experience outside the industry to complement a wealth of bus expertise”.
Ms Blake adds: “I’m excited to be joining Stagecoach at such an important and transformative time for the company.
“I’ll be working with an incredibly talented and dynamic team to help drive the company’s vision forward and foster an environment where inclusion thrives, and all employees feel empowered to make a difference.”
