Stagecoach has named Michelle Hargreaves as permanent Managing Director of its East of England bus operators. She has been in post on an interim basis since December, when former MD Andy Campbell retired.
Ms Hargreaves started her career with Stagecoach UK Bus in 1987. Most recently, she was People Change Director and she also formerly held the MD’s position at both Stagecoach East Midlands and Stagecoach South West.
“I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my first few months with the team at Stagecoach East and I’m delighted that we can look to the future and build on work that has already been done, and to deliver even better bus services,” says Ms Hargreaves.
Adds Stagecoach UK Bus MD Mark Threapleton: “The work that Michelle has undertaken as part of the Change programme, including health and wellbeing, uniform and recognition, will transfer to the Change team. However, she will still play a role in how it progresses.”
