The Staples Corner Flyover A406 flyover, where the M1 starts in London, is to shut for three weekends in September, with a big impact on traffic. Operators are advised by Transport for London to avoid the area and allow extra time.

The closures are to enable repairs to the viaduct’s expansion joints.

The closures, from 2200hrs on Fridays to 0500hrs on Mondays are on 1-4 and 8-11 September. It will also shut all day on 17 September. There are also partial closures in August and September.
