Stagecoach Manchester showed its support for promoting better mental health by backing a charity football match on Sunday (19 May), hosted by Place 2 Place football club.

The match, which was held at Wigan’s DW Stadium, saw Place 2 Place FC lose to fellow local amateurs Geo Athletic 2-1 and 3-1 to Dens Allstars.

Stagecoach Manchester sponsored the mascot’s football kits, which were presented to children to wear before they walked the players onto the pitch, as well as providing transport to the stadium for the players.

Elisabeth Tasker, Stagecoach Manchester MD, says: “We’re keen to help raise awareness of events within the local community which provide a platform to promote a better mental health as well as giving people a place to chat.”

Place 2 Place is a Wigan-based charity which focuses on promoting a positive attitude towards men’s mental health.
