The Department for Transport (DfT) has published a report, by the Task and Finish Group on Taxi and Private Hire Vehicle Licensing, that makes 34 recommendations to the government on overhauling taxi and private hire vehicle legislation.
The report says legislation should be “urgently revised to provide a safe, clear and up to date structure.”
It covers aspects as broad as licencing, to shared rides, and drivers’ hours.
