The Kings Ferry has placed a repeat order for Euro 6 Mercedes-Benz Tourismo coaches.

With delivery planned for this month, they will be used on a variety of work including London-based scheduled commuter services, by the National Express subsidiary.

As a result, all are being built to comply with PSVAR, with a front-mounted wheelchair lift.

The Kings Ferry’s latest order follows seven Euro 6 Tourismos taken over the last two years.

Built to a unique specification, the latest new Tourismos are among the first to carry the revised livery bearing the stylish new Kings Ferry logo.

On board this year’s fleet, passengers can expect to be treated to a luxury specification including stylish Luxline leather-fabric upholstery with fold-out trays, seat and wall mounted USB charging points, provisions for Wi-Fi installation, uprated overhead service controls with ambient LED lighting and dual 19in fixed LCD displays.

Added hot water boiler and centre toilet with hand dryer offer convenience whilst full DDA specification featuring destination displays and wheelchair lift work to deliver a timely and accessible service.

Lee Hake, Area Sales Manager for London and South East adds “It is fantastic to work with an award-winning operator like The Kings Ferry. The operator’s commitment to excellence and quality of service is impressive and I’m delighted The Kings Ferry have chosen the Tourismo again to uphold the standard of comfort, luxury and safety passengers have come to expect.”

All 10 Tourismo coaches benefit from the latest Euro 6 refinements and a comprehensive safety specification including three-point seatbelts, Advanced Emergency Braking System and Lane Departure Warning System.

They will be supplied by Mercedes-Benz Coach Sales at EvoBus (UK) Ltd.
