Two Scottish castles and a West Midlands arboretum are the latest attractions to be awarded CPT’s Coach Friendly status.
Blair Castle and Scone Palace, both located Perthshire, Scotland and The National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire have been awarded the status for demonstrating a clear commitment to welcoming coaches, coach parties and drivers.
CPT’s General Manager for CPT Scotland, Jeremy Tinsley (pictured at Blair Castle), says: “Blair Castle and Scone Palace both cater very well for groups with dedicated free coach parking and refreshments for the driver, including a rest room at Blair Castle.”
Says Sarah Oakden, Head of Marketing at the National Memorial Arboretum: “Our ambitious redevelopment plans, which have seen the creation of a £15.7m Remembrance Centre, have been executed with the coach operator at the front of our minds.
“We are now better equipped to give our group visitors a wonderful experience, from the moment they step off the coach. We place great importance on the small touches that make a big difference, from a friendly personal welcome in the car park, to effortless service in the restaurant.
“Thanks to this latest award, we look forward to welcoming increasing numbers of visitors arriving by coach.”
The additions bring the total of Coach Friendly recipients to 50: 27 towns, cities and villages, and 23 visitor attractions have been awarded so far.
