Tower Transit has taken its debut order of 51 Euro 6 MCV EvoSeti-bodied Volvo B5LH hybrid ‘deckers. They seat 68, with 25 standees.

Built to TfL specification, they will perate regularly on routes 58 (East Ham-Walthamstow Central), 308 (Wanstead-Lea Bridge) and 13 (Golders Green-Aldwych) from Westbourne Park and Lea Interchange depots.

Delivering fuel and CO2 reductions of around 39%, compared with a conventional diesel double deck bus, the parallel hybrid B5LH offers high reliability. The vehicle provides complete integration of the engine and the hybrid systems, all of which are designed and manufactured by Volvo Bus.
