Unwin has a wide range of wheelchair and user securement products

Unwin, an Autoadapt company, is at the forefront of offering safe and reliable accessible transport solutions.

It helps disabled passengers travel in safety, and Unwin prides itself on continuing to introduce innovative design and engineering while also being a leader in international safety standards.

The company’s wheelchair and occupant restraint range gives customers a choice of complete, purpose-built solutions as well as the scope and flexibility to design their own bespoke systems.

Unwin says that it has listened to feedback from its customers, as well as industry experts, and has given its product range a complete overhaul without increasing cost, weight or vehicle space claim.

It has added functional improvements and created an appealing and unified look. Unwin has also simplified the ordering procedure and removed unnecessary products and confusing labelling.

Key recent developments include: Dual-handed operation for tightening retractors, with only a 3mm increase to the overall width; all wheelchair tie-downs available in all options; and optimal webbing lengths on all products.

There is a combined stalk and retractor on all floor anchors fitting rear tie-downs. Two stalk lengths are available.

Unwin has also updated the webbing colours and its improved electric retractors now have LED lighting.

All of Unwin’s products are tested to ISO 10542 to 100kg, which is 15% more than the standard requires.
