We’ve been into London numerous times in the last couple of months on various work.
What is annoying us, as well as the usual congestion, is the roadworks.
Just one example is Baker Street northbound and southbound on the A41.
To put it bluntly, I don’t know what on earth they’re doing there with the roadworks, but we have been monitoring it now for weeks and nothing has been done.
The materials on those roadworks on the southern end of Baker Street, which meets the congestion down from Oxford Street, have not moved 1cm.
You do not see one person working there.
Recently it took us an hour to come from Marble Arch to Lord’s Cricket Ground.
The roadworks are causing even more congestion, and no one is working on them. Why can’t they be worked on round the clock and have three shifts, seven days a week? That would probably solve low unemployment rates too.
I don’t understand what is going on in London.
