2018 Awards move into round two of process that will lead to the October naming of industry’s best

Winners will be announced on 1 October at Hilton Birmingham Metropole

Nominations for this year’s routeone Awards have closed and those selected as potential finalists now enter round two in the search to find the best of the British coach and bus industry.

The judging panel is poised to make crucial decisions that will be based on entry forms returned by the 1730hrs deadline on Friday 18 May.

All nominees received the entry forms following the end of the nomination process on 6 April.

The forms are designed to provide important facts and figures that will assist with the next stage of the process that leads to the announcement of the winners at the gala presentation evening at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole on 31 October.

Nominees must show why they should be considered for one of the industry’s most valued accolades, while also supplying key information about their performance and achievements.

When they meet in early June, the six-person panel of industry experts will assess each entry and determine the most appropriate category or categories before determining who should be shortlisted as a finalist.

Those who have impressed sufficiently to justify being shortlisted will be informed before the end of June when the judges will invite answers to some more searching questions that will help them to determine the winners.

In the case of finalists for the people award, there will be interviews, while the judges reserve the right to defer other decisions until they have completed site visits and verified information supplied.

Now in its 14th year, the routeone Awards seek to reward excellence and best practice through a process that is both rigorous and fair.
