Well-known north west figure encourages fellow operators ‘to push coaches to the top of the agenda’

Richard Bamber: ‘Come along, get involved and help to make a difference’

Incoming CPT North West Region Chairman Richard Bamber has issued a rallying cry to his fellow coach operator members, urging them to make their voices heard and help to “push coaches to the top of the agenda at the CPT.”

Mr Bamber, Managing Partner at Runcorn-based Anthony’s Travel, takes up the Chairman’s role in April and says that he is determined to ensure that coaches and coach operators are promoted during his tenure.

“Often coach operators feel that their voices are not heard. This year I am determined to change that, but I need proactive operators to assist me.

“As an organisation, it is noticeable that coach operators are not engaging with CPT North West; some regular meeting attendees have stopped coming, while others are seldom heard from.

“Our intention over the coming months is to re-engage with coach operator members, to be more proactive in our relationships with all members including suppliers, and arrange more events and with a greater focus on sharing best practice.”

Mr Bamber adds that he is determined to ensure that all who attend CPT North West meetings come away feeling that they have gained something from the event, and he is keen to attract speakers from outside the traditional sphere of suppliers. To ensure that this happens, he is asking members in the region to make their thoughts and suggestions known now.

“If you want to see a difference in the industry, then come along and help to make that difference.”
