Carousel Buses to run coaches to Heathrow

Go-Ahead Group subsidiary Carousel Buses has gained “significant financial support” from Heathrow Airport to allow it to extend an existing service to the global transport node. Chiltern Hundreds service 102 will operate from High Wycombe, Beaconsfield, Gerrards Cross and Uxbridge to Heathrow using coaches.

It will start on 29 December. Services will operate hourly. Says Carousel Buses MD Phil Southall: “This would not have been possible without the support of Heathrow Airport.

“It highlights what can be achieved by operators when external funding support is provided by key stakeholders. We hope to work further with the airport to develop other new links and make additional improvements if this is a success.”

Contactless payments will be accepted. Coaches will have wi-fi and USB charging. They will be displaced from Oxford Bus Company’s X90 service, which ends in early January.
