Go-Ahead Ireland has taken delivery of three Enviro200s, supplied by Alexander Dennis (01909 551166).
They are for a newly won route between Ashbourne and Swords and were purchased partly because of the manufacturer’s ability to respond quickly.
Says Go-Ahead ireland Head of Engineering Chris Stringer: “The National Transport Authority wanted the service up and running as quickly as possible. Within weeks, Alexander Dennis had modified three 10.8m, 41-seat buses to our requirements.
“The Enviro200’s reputation is second to none in terms of style, accessibility, emissions technology, safety and manoeuvrability. But it is also a workhorse. That’s essential on this route, which provides 17 return journeys Monday to Saturday and 14 on Sundays.
“The Enviro200 is a perfect fit for this job.”
