Go North East has invested £1.8m in 11 high-specification Enviro200s, supplied by Alexander Dennis (01909 551166).
They are for the Green Arrow service and they carry a striking suitably coloured livery for that route. They have seats with mobile phone holders, wi-fi, USB sockets and media tables that include wireless charging.
Audio-visual next stop information is also part of the specification.
Says MD Martijn Gilbert: “These buses represent the next round of major investment at Go North East. We are delighted to bring such state of the art, environmentally friendly vehicles into service.”
The operator will invest a further £12m in its fleet over the coming 12 months. It has taken delivery of 170 low-emission buses in recent years.
