Honk for Hope has announced details on its Facebook page of meeting times and the route within central London for its protest on Monday 20 July that may involve up to 500 coaches.

Participants should muster at the following locations and times:

  • A1(M)/M25 South Mimms services: 0910hrs
  • M4 Heston services: 1000hrs
  • M4 Reading services: 0910hrs
  • M25 Cobham services: 0920hrs
  • M40 Beaconsfield services: 0935hrs.

A convoy will then be formed to enter central London from the M4 onto Cromwell Road. It will then turn right onto the A3220 in Earl’s Court before feeding onto the north bank of the Thames and proceeding via Parliament Square in front of the Houses of Parliament onto Embankment.

Coaches will continue past the Tower of London before following a one-way system via Minories to turn around and return via the same route.

Honk for Hope says the route in central London has been decided upon in partnership with the Metropolitan Police and “was deemed the best not only for disruption but for maximum exposure.”

It is expected that the convoy will be on Cromwell Road for 1100hrs.

Work is ongoing in conjunction with the Confederation of Passenger Transport to secure a suitable parking place for coaches to meet after the protest, with efforts to continue over the weekend.
