Early customers for the PSVAR-compliant Ilesbus Glance midicoach, which is built on the Iveco Daily chassis, have been announced as the first example – a demonstrator – arrived in the UK.
Anderson Travel of London has already placed an order for three of the vehicles. Two more will go to Johnson Bros Tours of Worksop. A further example is for the Bws Peris fleet of Llanberis, North Wales.
The PSVAR-compliant Glance has 29 seats and a lift mounted behind the rear axle. It can carry one wheelchair user which reduces seating to 25.
The Glance comes with LED headlights and a Telma retarder along with a DVD player, panoramic glazing and a 14kW saloon air-conditioning unit. Front, side and rear destination displays are added as part of its PSVAR-compliant specification.
The manufacturer says that while the lift is within the boot, a good amount of luggage space is provided both there and within side lockers. Ilesbus uses a 210bhp engine in Daily base vehicles for the Glance.
Arrival of the first PSVAR-compliant Glance comes hot on the heels of the debut of the low-floor Ilesbus I-City minibus. That vehicle is built on a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter base vehicle and it can carry one wheelchair user.
