The first Irish operator to take delivery of a Yutong GT12 is Kearney’s Coaches. It has added a 53-seat example to its fleet, supplied by Pelican Bus and Coach (01924 227722).

It follows earlier TC12 coaches with Kearney’s and is to the supplier’s standard specification. The GT12 has 53 seats with a centre toilet.

It comes with a DAF MX-11 engine delivering 450bhp coupled to a ZF EcoLife automatic gearbox.

To complement the GT12, Pelican will bring the longer GT13 to the UK and Ireland in 2020.

The Yutong coach range is further complemented by the mid-sized TC9 and the zero-emission battery electric TCe12. The latter is the first such coach of its type offered to UK and Irish buyers.
