Passenger Plus completes 10,000 journeys with app

Passenger Plus has completed over 10,000 journeys with its passenger app, which was developed in partnership with Rise Digital Media.

The operator’s corporate client base has “enthusiastically embraced” the app, says MD Mark Drury. It is proving particularly valuable during the current South West Railway industrial action. The app tracks the time until the next bus arrives and also has a direct link to rail service updates.

“Over 80% of our work is last mile, closed-door private services for blue chip clients,” adds Mr Drury.

“The app represents an investment of £90,000, but we believe that giving our clients this level of information, literally in the palm of their hand, is money well spent.”

Earlier in 2019 Passenger Plus was victorious in the Best Use of Technology – up to 150 vehicles category at the routeone Awards.
