Sim’s Travel, of Holmrook, Cumbria, returned to Irizar UK (01909 500514) for an i6 integral, its second DAF-powered coach from the Spanish manufacturer.

The 12.9m model has 57 i6 seats with three-point belts and synthetic leather trim. It also has an entertainment system made up of a Bosch Smart Series audio unit and an Actia DVD player. USB charging points and a centre toilet have additionally been specified.

Says Proprietor Peter Sim: We have purchased another DAF-powered i6 integral because of good value for money combined with excellent reliability, fuel consumption and backup from both Irizar UK and DAF.”

Power is from the MX-11 engine rated at 370bhp coupled to a ZF AS-Tronic 12-speed automated manual gearbox.
