Endeavour Coaches of Birmingham has invested in a Totalkare mobile brake tester. The unit ensures the first-rate maintenance both of Endeavour’s own 20-strong fleet and of those vehicles belonging to other companies that it looks after under contract.
No groundworks are needed for the brake tester. It is suitable for use with axle loads of up to 20,000kg and it has a simple design. It can be placed on a variety of surfaces. A handheld tablet communicates with the brake tester, allowing easy operation and control from the driver’s seat.
Endeavour Coaches Managing Director Sean Mitchell says: “Our relationship with Totalkare spans many years, so we knew we could go straight to the company when the need for an in-house brake tester arose.
“The communication and service we received has been excellent throughout the purchase and installation. There is little doubt that the investment we have made will deliver an increase in workshop productivity, allowing us to better serve our customers in the process.”
Totalkare had already worked with Endeavour on the supply of T8AC mobile column lifts. They provide a 7,500kg lifting capacity per column.
Brake testing equipment is Totalkare’s first non-lifting product.
