Two Enviro200s have joined the Reading Buses fleet. They were supplied by Alexander Dennis (01909 551166).
They each have wireless phone charging cradles on every seatback, media shelves to allow passengers to watch videos on their phones, the first table and social seating areas on a Reading Buses single-decker and a spacious four-seat rear layout.
Both Enviro200s also have the manufacturer’s SmartPack. It combines stop-start engine functionality with management of the alternator and compressor to reduce fuel consumption.
Says Chief Executive Officer Robert Williams: “I am very excited to see these buses enter service with many of the features trialled during 2019.”
One of the Reading Buses Enviro200s is painted purple for Lower Caversham routes. The other is in a generic silver livery.
