Langley Mill operator Yourbus ceased trading suddenly last Friday (4 October).
No reason has been given for the unexpected development. Yourbus made the announcement via social media channels.
Yourbus ran commercial and tendered services in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. Derbyshire County Council quickly awarded emergency tenders to various other operators to continue the supported routes. A week before its collapse Yourbus was subject to a winding up petition.
Both Arriva and Trentbarton soon announced that they would accept valid Yourbus tickets. Trentbarton also invited former Yourbus drivers to apply to it for positions.
